ID Trademark was founded in 1995 by Isabelle Deshaies, who has been active in the field of intellectual property since 1986. She is a Trade-mark Agent certified with the Canadian Trade-marks Office, a member of the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada (IPIC) and of the International Association for the Protection of Industrial Property (AIPPI).

As a member of a special committee with the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada, Isabelle Deshaies was actively engaged in the protection of trade-mark rights in Internet domain name from 1998 to 2002.

Since she started her career in Intellectual Property, Isabelle Deshaies has given conferences and training. She also writes articles and gives conferences on the protection of trade-marks and registration proceedings and is the chief editor of the Technical Bulletin L'ANNOTÉ ®.
